This is a translation. If there is any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. On winparking.com we use very few and none for analytics or advertising. The first time you visit, you will see a banner to choose which ones you accept (section 3).

1. Cookies we use

We group them into two categories:

  • Technical (always on). They make the website work: signing in to your account, the sign-up form, night mode, protection against bots and remembering what you choose in the banner. They do not need your permission because they are necessary for the service you request or for security, and they cannot be turned off.
  • Preferences (off until you accept them). They only contain wp_ref, the cookie that remembers for 30 days who invited you.
CookieWhat forCategoryDuration
Session (for example, sb-…-auth-token)Keeping you signed in to your accountTechnical, first-partyUntil you sign out or 90 days without use
Sign-up form (wp_signup_form)Linking your sign-up form with the code or the button in the confirmation email, in the same browserTechnical, first-party1 hour
Your cookie choice (wp_cookie_choice)Storing what you chose in the banner, so we do not ask againTechnical, first-party6 months
Night mode (wp_theme)Remembering that you chose night mode with the switch on the website. It is only saved if you choose night mode; it is deleted when you switch back to day modeTechnical, first-party12 months
Cloudflare security (for example, __cf_bm)Telling people from bots and protecting sign-upTechnical, CloudflareUp to 30 minutes
Referral (wp_ref)Remembering for 30 days the code of the person who invited you, even if you come back another day without the link, and the random identifier of your consentPreferences, first-party30 days

The anti-bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) may also use browser local storage, for security purposes only.

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. If we ever did, we would ask for them in the banner, in their own category, before turning them on.

2. The referral cookie

  • If you accept preference cookies and arrive through a user's link, we store their code in the wp_ref cookie for 30 days, so their invitation counts even if you sign up another day. If you open links from several people, the last one counts.
  • Proof of your consent: because the law requires us to be able to show that you accepted, we store in our database a random identifier (the same one carried in the cookie), the date, the version of this policy and the invitation code, if there was one. We do not store your IP address or anything that identifies you. If you later sign up, this proof is linked to your account; if not, it is kept blocked for 3 years from acceptance, only to defend ourselves against a claim, and then deleted.
  • If you reject, we do not store wp_ref. The invitation still counts if you sign up during that same visit, and you can always type the code of the person who invited you in the sign-up form.

Accepting or rejecting changes nothing else on the website.

3. How to choose and how to change your mind

The first time you visit, you will see a banner with three options. Rejecting is as easy as accepting:

  • "Accept" turns on preference cookies.
  • "Reject" keeps only technical cookies.
  • "Settings" lets you choose by category.

Until you choose, we only use technical cookies. The banner does not stop you from using the website.

You can change your mind at any time from "Cookie settings", at the bottom of the website and in "Legal information" in "My account". If you withdraw your consent, we delete wp_ref and record the withdrawal, just like the acceptance. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge explain how in their help pages). If you delete the session cookie, you will have to sign in again.

4. More information

The processing of data linked to cookies is explained in the privacy policy. For any question, write to privacidad@winparking.com.
